We would have preferred it or, even better, pack items to eat in the room for breakfast. There's a Waffle House a short distance away. She loved the wave pool, but it got very crowded at times, with kids bumping into each other. Our granddaughter was tall enough, but I saw several others be told, after climbing up several flights of stairs, that their kids were not. However, there should have been clear directions at the bottom of the stairs about how tall one must be to ride. The water park was great fun for her, and the numerous slides were fun for me, too. She enjoyed the MagiQuest scavenger hunt, but it took a full day to try figuring out how it really worked. Paid in advance for the Wolf Pass and breakfast buffet. We took our soon-to-be 9 year old granddaughter for a 2 night adventure. If Covid is a concern, this may not be the place for you. I’m not sure whether they are at max occupancy or not but I would hate to see what that looked like. Other than that there really was no social distancing and it seemed pretty crowded. Most staff were wearing masks (some incorrectly) and there was one guest with a mask that I saw. I’m pretty sure Covid didn’t exist there. I know it happens have never really seen it before. A kid pooped in the baby pool and they were on top of closing the pool, scooping it out, draining, and cleaning in all less than what seemed like 30 min. Pros: the water park was very condensed but I felt comfortable and was able to see my kids throughout the whole park while staying in almost the same spot, there were a lot of staff watching the water and the kids with staff correcting kids to keep safe, lines moved quickly, there were always tubes available, the slides were fun, they had extras like the rock wall and arcade (for extra fees), they give you cute wolf ears. Like everywhere there were pros and cons.Ĭons: it was really expensive, the room was very basic and not overly comfortable (didn’t sleep great), all of the games/shops are very visible to the kids and are expensive or additional costs, the water park has 6 slides, they say no outside food but I eat very clean and there were not really any options for myself or my spouse, seating in the park was a little hard to find. My husband, myself, and two kids (5 and 8 year old girls) stopped at Great Wolf earlier this month on our way to TN.
